Improve your Mental Health: Train Your Brain for Unstoppable Success
Today we're focusing on your Mental Health!
It's not just about your peace of mind or relaxation, it also includes your Cognitive Functioning. Let's take a look on how to Train your Brain.
But before that....
Why is it important to train your brain?
Training your brain helps to improve cognitive functions, such as memory, attention, and problem-solving skills.
Regular mental stimulation can enhance learning and creativity, reduce the risk of cognitive decline as you age, and contribute to overall mental well-being.
A well-trained brain is more adaptable and resilient in facing new challenges and learning experiences.
Now, let's take a closer look on.. How you can train your brain
An old wise man once said: “Our brain is like a machine. If it is regularly used, it keeps working. But it rusts if it is not used up.”
Training your brain involves activities that challenge and stimulate it. Challenging your brain with different situations and scenarios will keep its pace going on. The best way is to stimulate your brain through activities like:
Puzzles and Games: Puzzles and games have proven to enhance your cognitive abilities. But this doesn’t mean you start playing video games like GTA or FIFA. Engage in strategy games (like chess), solve puzzles, Rubik’s cube, or play quizzes to sharpen your cognitive skills.
Learn Something New: Learning stimulates the brain and encourages neural connections. Pick up a new skill or hobby. Start working on it. It also helps in releasing a brain chemical called Dopamine (a.k.a The Reward Chemical).
Productivity Tip: If you’re thinking which skill or hobby to learn, pick one which has high ROI - such as Coding, Sales, Investing, Web Designing, etc. Click here for Complete Web Designing Course (No Prior Experience Required)
Physical Exercise: Not just Mental exercise, Physical exercise also helps to boost your mental health. Wondering how? Physical exercise improves blood flow to the brain, promoting the growth of new neurons and enhancing overall cognitive function. Even if you’re not hitting gym, you can start regular 15 minute walks. Start small and MOVE UP. The aim is to get your body to move, especially if you are a desk jockey.
Mindfulness Practices: Practices like meditation and deep breathing can improve focus, reduce stress, and enhance overall brain health.
Regular exercise, yoga, meditation etc. helps in releasing the brain chemicals Serotonin (a.k.a. The Mood Stabilizer) and Endorphins (a.k.a. The Pain Reliever)
Reading: Regular reading has proved to keep your brain active. You will also expand your knowledge. Read good books.
I started a twitter thread inviting the audience to share some books which had a great impact on their life. Read it here.
Healthy Diet: What you eat plays a vital role in developing your brain cells. Eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins to support brain function.
Social Interaction: Engage in meaningful conversations and maintain social connections, as social interactions stimulate different areas of the brain. Social interaction also helps in releasing a brain chemical called Oxytocin (a.k.a. The Love Hormone)
Adequate Sleep: Ensure you get enough quality sleep, as it is crucial for memory consolidation and overall cognitive performance. While you sleep, your brain cells relax and grow. Your brain gets time to reorganize all the scattered information and make connections while you sleep. This is why you see similar dreams.
I have explained a lot more about the working of conscious and sub-conscious mind and their role in dreams, including How to Catch Your Dreams, in my 21-Day Course “Memory Unwrapped”.
I have also taught a lot of memory techniques which will help you to UNLEASH the full potential of your memory. Grab your copy by clicking the link below.
